Exports in October Up 3.6% Year-on-Year
Slovenian companies exported somewhat more than EUR 1.5bn to EU countries, which is 76.2% of total exports in October. Imports from the EU was also at EUR 1.5bn or 75.4% of total imports in the month.
In the first ten months of 2013, exports rose by 2.5% compared to the same period last year to EUR 18.1bn, while imports decreased by 0.3% to EUR 18.5bn. The trade deficit in the period stood at EUR 326m.
Exports to the EU in the January-October period stood at EUR 13.6bn or 75.2% of total exports. Imports from the bloc meanwhile amounted to EUR 14.6bn or slightly less than 79% of total imports.
The exports to imports ratio was at 99.8% in October and at 98.2% in the first ten months of the year.
