Cable, Terrestrial TV in Decline as IPTV Makes Strides
Almost half of Slovenian households, 49%, still use cable, but its share has declined by one percentage point since 2012 and 13 points since 2011.
IPTV meanwhile surged four points to 28% as terrestrial broadcasting declined two points to 14%.
The main reason for the spread of IPTV is simple: triple and quadruple play services offered by operators in bundles.
However, a fifth of respondents also listed the programme package as the reason why they switched to IPTV.
The survey was conducted by pollster Valicon in late November and early December.
