The document is available on-line and the web site also provides good practice examples to inspire companies which want to sign the guidelines.

President Borut Pahor, who was the honorary patron of the document, said that the corporate integrity guidelines were a sign of "ethical resetting of society".

Former head of the Corruption Prevention Commission Drago Kos, who headed the group that drafted the document, said the guidelines were merely the first step and that they must be implemented.

The view was shared by CEO of pharmaceutical company Lek Vojmir Urlep, who added that values of individuals were of key importance.

Sibil Svilan, the CEO of the SID bank, added that companies must pay attention to personal values of new workers when hiring.
