Pahor, who initially planned to also attend the opening ceremony, will attend a few sporting events that feature Slovenian athletes, including Sunday's ice-hockey match between Slovenia and the US, and visit the Olympic village.

The press release by his office indicates Pahor will stay in Russia at least until Tuesday.
