Tina Maze Has "Brought" Good Form from Sochi to Crans Montana
With seven more events before the end of the season, Slovenia's champion still has a theoretical chance to defend last year's overall World Cup victory.
Maze is currently 4th in overall World Cup standings, 294 points behind the leader Maria Höfl-Riesch (1,108 pts), who also heads the downhill standings (504), where Maze is also 4th, 111 points the leader.
Commenting on her sixth podium finish this season and the 67th career podium, the 30-year-old Slovenian skier said she was happy with her performance on what she said was a tough course in poor visibility.
But she also suggested that winning the Crystal Globe will be hard. "If I finish each of the remaining events as far up as possible, everything's possible, but it's also true it is rather a mission impossible.
"Fellow competitors are aware of my capabilities and know that what I squandered at the beginning of the season I've squandered so I have nothing more to lose, but can only win," Maze said.
