The "10KA" club, located next door to the Slovenian Cinematheque and run by comedy promoter Andrej Težak-Tešky, will feature shows two days a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Besides the versatile Žnidaršič and Gorenc - Pižama, the opening night on April Fools' Day will feature veterans Perica Jerković and Lucija Ćirović as well as a number up-and-coming performers.

The first individual show is reserved for Friday, when Žnidaršič, who made a name for himself as a TV host, will take the stage for an hour and a half show.

According to Težak-Tešky, Tuesday nights will be reserved for up-and-coming comics as well as for established performers who will be presenting new material. The club will also experiment with new forms of stand-up comedy.

Admission fee for Friday nights will range from 10 to 15 euros, while tickets for Tuesday performances will cost three euros. The club can accommodate around 100 visitors.

The idea to set up a stand-up comedy club in Ljubljana has been brewing for quite a while, and was finally realised by the Ceh za smeh comedy group, which associates major stand-up comedians in the country.

Težak-Tešky is an experienced promoter of comedy, as he has been co-running a comedy club in Zagreb, Croatia, for several years.
