Slovenia's Belak Wins Vault at Gymnastics World Cup Event
"I'm very satisfied with today's performance, although the jump was not very difficult. I think I'm very well prepared for the remainder of the season," Belak told reporters after the win.
The finals of the women's vault also featured Slovenia's Tjaša Kysselef, who finished sixth with a 13.325 mark.
The first finals of the day, the men's floor exercise, saw Slovenia's Rok Klavora taking the fifth place with a 14.300 mark.
His compatriot Sašo Bertoncelj made a serious mistake in the finals of the pommel horse and finished far from the podium, managing a 13.925 mark. The winner Oleh Vernyayev of Ukraine (15.200) was the only finalist not to make a mistake.
Belak also competed on the uneven bars, taking the eighth place in the finals with a 10.600 mark.
On Sunday, Slovenia will be represented by Belak on the balance beam, Saša Golob in the women's floor exercise and Alen Dimic on the parallel bars.
