For the first time, the two-day event is also hosting travelling agencies from Iran, Georgia, Azerbaijan and Hong Kong. Similar to previous years, the most participants come from Russia, Italy, Austria, Germany and the UK.
The two-day event taking place on Thursday and Friday brings together representatives of 132 Slovenian travelling agencies and 111 foreign agencies and tourism companies.
The 17th incoming workshop is organised by gaming company HIT and Nova Gorica municipality. HIT CEO Dimitrij Piciga told the press on Friday that his company would take full advantage of the workshop and a similar view was expressed by Nova Gorica Mayor Matej ArĨon.
The head of the tourism directorate at the Economy Ministry, Marjan Hribar, underlined that Slovenian tourism was seeing positive results this year again.
The sector posted EUR 400m in revenue in the first quarter, 3% up over the same period in 2013, which was a record year.
