Poetry and Wine Festival Takes over Ptuj on Weekend
The work of the honorary guests will be published in a book, as has become tradition of the festival celebrating its 18th birthday this year.
The festival will also put out a book of seven contemporary Japanese poets to present Japanese poetry in Slovenia, the organisers said ahead of the festival.
While the guest poets have been selected by a panel of judges in the previous years, this year they were picked by two selectors; US-Russian poet Ilya Kaminsky and Slovenian poet Lucija Stupica Enbohm.
The festival will feature poetry readings, open-air concerts, art exhibitions and readings in private gardens.
