Moody's cited the author of the report on Slovenia as saying that "the slowly improving economic environment should support borrowers' debt-service capacity and lessen the likelihood of a rapid formation of non-performing loans".

He pointed to the transfer of part of non-performing claims from the NLB and NKBM banks to the Bank Asset Management Company and the December 2013 bailout of Slovenian banks.
