Snowboard Worlds: Košir Silver in Giant Slalom
The 30-year-old Košir, a winner of silver and bronze at the 2014 Sochi Winter Games, narrowly lost the final to Russia's Andrei Sobolev, following a dominant run to the gold-medal race.
"I'm being consistent and I have to be happy and proud about that. Today's performances weren't my best, but they were obviously enough for a medal," he told reporters after the final race.
Košir said making some mistakes in the final run cost him a victory, adding that the defeat in the finals will serve as motivation for the upcoming World Cup event at Slovenia's Rogla.
The two other Slovenians, Rok Flander and Rok Marguč, were eliminated in the quarter-final and round of 16, respectively.
The silver for Košir is the third medal for Slovenia at the World Championships in Kreischberg, after Marguč won bronze in the parallel slalom and Tim Kevin Ravnjak was third in the half pipe last week.
Slovenia has now won eleven medals total at world snowboarding championships.
