The preliminary round of the tournament starting on 4 September will feature 24 teams competing in four groups of six playing in Celje, Jesenice, Koper and Ljubljana.

Tickets will be sold by ticketing agency Eventim, while purchases will be limited to four tickets per game per person, the organisers said on Friday.

The best three teams from each group will then proceed to the second round that will get underway in Stožice Arena in Ljubljana on 11 September.

The final round featuring the top eight teams will start with quarter-finals on 18 September and culminate with the final on 22 September.

The tickets for the final stages of the tournament have been on sale since March. With the exception of the final, they are still available, the organisers said.

The organisers have also teamed up with Slovenian municipalities and partners to provide free broadcasts in front of the arenas for fans who will be unable to get a hold of the tickets.
