Front@ festival of contemporary dance

The Front@ international festival of contemporary dance in the northeastern town of Morska Sobota will spotlight non-Europocentric productions it its 19th iteration.
"We want to show that contemporary dance is a global phenomenon and not a part of the Western culture," artistic director Matjaž Farič said ahead of the festival.
Among the highlights, he listed the opening production Grand Bolero by Spanish choreographer Jesus Rubio Gamo and two professional dance formations En - Knap and the Zagreb Dance Ensemble.
The final night will see three Korean productions that have been picked at an international choreography festival in Seoul.
Another highlight is Ageless Generation by the Belgium-based choreographer Anton Lachky, who joined forces with the Central Europe Dance Theatre from Budapest.
Seven of the 59 artists who applied for the festival's international call will perform in the city park and around the castle in the Open City section.
