After making a successful appearance at the 2024 Euro, making it to the knock-out stage for the first time ever, Slovenia will open their UEFA Nations League qualifier by hosting Austria at Stožice Stadium on 6 September.

"We are getting better game by game, which can also be seen in the results. This is why I can't wait for every next match, because I simply believe in this national team," forward Benjamin Šeško said as the team gathered for the training camp in Brdo pri Kranju.

Austria were also eliminated in the round of 16 at Euro. They rank 22nd in the FIFA rankings, compared to Slovenia's 52nd place.

After the match with Austria, Slovenia will host Kazakhstan in Ljudski Vrt Stadium in Maribor on 9 September 2024 in Group B3, which also features Norway.

In away matches in October, Slovenia will play Norway on 10 October and Kazakhstan on 13 October.

The Group B3 play will wrap up in November, as Slovenia host Norway on 14 November and be hosted by Austria on 17 November.

The first-placed team will be promoted to League A and the last-placed team relegated to League C.
