Ljubljana – A total of 489 new coronavirus cases were detected with PCR tests in Slovenia on Saturday, as the downward trend of the past week continues, show data by the National Institute of Public Health (NIJZ). The number of patients in hospitals continues to drop as well, according to the government. However, six more deaths were recorded.
Currently, 417 Covid-19 patients need hospitalisation, of whom 120 require intensive care.
The 14-day incidence is at 555, up by two from yesterday, while the rolling 7-day average dropped be six to 794.
The estimated number of active cases rose by 50 to 11,762.
So far, 49% of the population has been fully vaccinated. The share for those over 18% is at 59% and for those over 50 at 70%, the government said on Twitter.
