Ljubljana – Slovenia reported a record 5,164 new cases of coronavirus for Monday, the highest daily figure since the start of the pandemic. The case positivity rate exceeded 50%, according to the National Institute of Public Health (NIJZ). The 14-day case notification rate stood at 1,879, up by 160 on the day before, and the rolling seven-day average of new daily cases, at 3,891, rose by almost 250. It is estimated there are now almost 40,000 active cases in the country, the equivalent of nearly 2% of Slovenia’s entire population.
