Slovenia donating more than EUR 27,000 to UNICEF this year

Ljubljana – Slovenia proposes to pay an annual contribution of EUR 27,826 or USD 30,400 to UNICEF this year, the same amount as in the last five years, the government decided on Thursday. Slovenia has been making this donation to UNICEF since 2002.

Slovenia’s contribution expresses its support and recognition to the work and achievements of this organisation in the protection of children’s rights, and expresses gratitude to UNICEF for its successful cooperation with Slovenia, the Government Communications Office said after the government session.

The payment of the annual contribution for 2022 is also important in light of the promotion of Slovenia’s announced bid for the UNICEF Executive Board for the 2025-2027 period, the Ministry of Labour, Family, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities said.
