Slovenia gearing up for 10-year bond issue


"The deal is expected to be launched in the near future, subject to market conditions," the treasury said about the bond with a stated maturity date in 2030.

Based on past experience, the issue is expected in the coming days.

The situation on the secondary market is currently favourable for Slovenia.

The yield on Slovenia's 10-year bonds that are due in March 2019 is just above zero, having reached 0.01% on the MTS Bonds.com platform at 5:30pm today.

According to the debt financing programme, Slovenia will issue fresh bonds worth a maximum of EUR 1.58 billion this year.

Slovenia issued fresh debt worth EUR 1.5 billion in January 2019 and also in January 2018.
