Slovenia celebrates a green Christmas

Nekategorizirano

It is unlikely that Slovenia will get any rain before the year's end, let alone snow, according to meteorologists.

The last time the majority of the country had a white Christmas was in 2007, while the coast saw snow on Christmas for the last time in 1948.

Kids and winter sports fans were best able to enjoy their Christmas vacation in 1994, when up to 60 cm of snow had fallen in the south, while the mountains had even more snow.

The absence of snow also affects the skiing season, as the few ski resorts that are operational need to rely heavily on artificial snow.
