Šentilj border crossing to reopen next week

This means that those wanting to cross the border with Austria will no longer have to take the nearby motorway border crossing, which requires the use of the Austrian vignette.

However, at this stage the crossing will be open only during the night - between 10 PM and 6 AM, the STA learnt from Šentilj Mayor Štefan Žvab.

The local community has been advocating the reopening of the border crossing, as the shops along the street leading to it have been closed for some two months.

Meanwhile, preliminary data for Friday show that more than 1,000 refugees entered Slovenia by 6 AM.
