Aberšek, who is currently the CEO of financial holding Sava, will be in charge of finances, and will take over on 15 March, in line with the decision taken on Tuesday.

Jelača will meanwhile be responsible for marketing, sales and customer support and will take over on 1 March, Telekom Slovenije said in a press release.

Aberšek and Jelača will replace Zoran Janko, whose term expired last October, and Mateja Božič, who has been dismissed from the management board. Božič will remain employed at Telekom.

Management board vice-president Tomaž Seljak, who is responsible for IT, and workers' director Vesna Lednik meanwhile remain on the board.

The overhauled Telekom management will be tasked with implementing the strategic plan for the 2016-2020 period and the business plan for this year, which was confirmed yesterday, the press release says.

The Telekom Slovenije group plans to make a EUR 34m net profit this year, EUR 198m in earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) and make investments of EUR 156m.
