Minister Židan in Berlin for Green Week


Židan is to sign today a memorandum with his Montenegrin counterpart Petar Ivanović designed to boost bilateral cooperation in agriculture, food and wood industries, marketing and joint forays into third markets.

Židan will also be on hand for the Global Forum for Food and Agriculture and the Agriculture Ministers' Summit on Saturday. The meetings will discuss ways to secure enough food at times of growing urbanisation.

One of the world's biggest international fairs for food, agricultural and horticultural industries, the 81st edition of the Green Week got under way on Thursday.

Slovenia is being featured with several food companies which will be offering food, wine and beer for tasting. The country will also present its initiative for World Honeybee Day.

The Slovenian Tourism Board will be promoting Slovenian tourist destinations, in particular farm tourism.
