Ski jumps: Slovenia miss out on worlds team medal

With Prevc leading the way on the heels of his individual win, it was expected that the Slovenian team would have a shot for the medals, especially as all four Slovenian competitors finished in the top-12 yesterday.

While the world champion once again led Slovenia and the field with jumps of 228 and 238 metres, poor daily form by Jurij Tepeš and Anže Lanišek took Slovenia out of medal contention.

Tepeš managed jumps of only 170 and 157 metres a day after finishing ninth in the individual competition. Lanišek was not much better, meaning Slovenia could not threaten Austria or Germany for third or second place.

Norway ran away with today's competition, posting an all-around strong effort to score 1,467.7 points, 110 points more than second-placed Germany. Austria was third with 1,310.4 points.

Slovenia ended the day with a combined score of 1,272.7 points.
