The business officials are scheduled to take part in a series of promotional activities taking place in the Slovenian centre at the tournament which has been set up in Wroclaw. Slovenia is currently playing the group stage there.

In addition to appearing at the centre, business officials from some two dozen Slovenian companies will also participate in a Slovenian-Polish business forum on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Počivalšek is scheduled to meet Poland's Deputy Development Minister Radoslaw Domagalski Lebedzki for talks focusing on bilateral economic cooperation.

The Slovenian Tourism Board will join the promotional activities in Wroclaw by holding a presentation of Slovenian tourism and organising a bilateral meeting of tourism officials from the two countries.

On Wednesday, the Slovenian business hub in Poland will host an investment conference featuring officials of the Slovenian investment promotion agency, SPIRIT, and the Warsaw Stock Exchange.

Polish capital has recently been involved in a spate of acquisitions of Slovenian companies, including tissue maker Paloma and construction materials company Trimo Trebnje.

Poland remains one of the fastest growing markets in Europe. Trade between the countries amounted to EUR 1.3bn in 2014.
