Robert Kokalj from the Foreign Ministry participated as the main Slovenian representative, while Sun Liwei from the Chinese Ministry of Commerce led the Chinese delegation.

Both representatives commended the current collaboration between the countries and discussed the challenges of turning Slovenia into a prominent tourist destination.

Slovenians supported China's idea for opening a tourism office which would cover the Alps-Adriatic region. They invited the Chinese to the International Tourism Exhibition in Budapest, where Slovenia will be showcased in March.

The Chinese guests pointed out the issue with tourist visas and encouraged Slovenians to attend the Trade Expo in Ningbo, China in June.

They also touched upon broader economic collaboration, as Eva Štravs Podlogar from the Ministry for Economic Development and Technology presented Slovenia's ambitions to attract foreign investments.
