The new majority owner, the Cyprus-based Demistone Holding Limited, appointed Dmytro Leshchenko boss three months after taking over the firm.

The new owner bought Agroind's debt from the Bank Asset Management Company, Slovenia's bad bank, and proceeded to acquire 94% of the company's stock for EUR 1 from the Vipava cooperative in early November.

The shareholders appointed two new supervisory board members to replace chief supervisor Boris Bajc, who also served as CEO until today.

Bajc told the press after the AGM that operations had been improving and that the company had been able to pay the workers' October salaries and was negotiating the payment of November salaries.
