Revoz produces Twingos and Smarts in its Novo mesto plant and is counting on new markets, in particular China.

Accordingly, it intents to keep in place the current system of shift work and retain the 2,100-strong workforce at the present level, according to Haettel.

Initially, Revoz plans to adapt the pace of production to growing output by introducing Saturday shifts. If production growth is stronger, new hiring is planned.

Overall, however, new hires will merely replace those leaving through attrition, said Haettel.

Revoz last year produced 129,400 vehicles, up from 118,600 in the year before.

Haettel said preliminary data showed an increase in revenue by a fifth; in 2014 its sales topped EUR 848m.
