Insurance premiums up in 2015
The maximum amount of premiums collected by insurance companies in Slovenia was EUR 2.09bn in 2010, after which the figure started to drop each year until the trend turned around in 2015.
Last year, premiums increased in all segments and above all in life insurance (+5.28% to EUR 563.6m).
Premiums collected through property insurances increased by 0.52% to EUR 1.41bn, while health insurance premiums went up by 2.41% to EUR 483m.
Zavarovalnica Triglav remains the biggest insurer in the country with a market share of about 30%.
