Net profit was meanwhile down from EUR 600,000 to EUR 400,000, the company told the STA on Wednesday.

The company based in the village of Renkovci (NE) expects revenues to be kept this year at the 2015 level.

Paradajz, which sells its tomatoes under the Lušt brand, saw labour costs increase by EUR 130,000 last year to EUR 800,000 on account of higher wages and four new jobs. The company currently employs some 40 people.

The company which grows some 3,300 tonnes of tomatoes annually, more than all other Slovenian tomato producers combined, also started to grow bell peppers, cucumbers and eggplants this year.
