The net employment outlook is at 9%, up five percentage points over the previous quarter and the strongest projected increase in a year, shows the survey released on Wednesday.

According to the survey, 15% of the Slovenian employers involved in the survey say they will add to their payrolls and 2% expect a decrease; 76% plan to leave their current workforce intact.

While brisker hiring is expected across all industries, the strongest increases are projected in electricity, gas and water supply.

Steady gains are also projected in finance, business and real estate as well as transport and storage.

The weakest outlook is projected in the public sector and in wholesale and retail trade.

Regionally, the strongest hiring is projected in central Slovenia (+9%) and the weakest in the north-east (+6%).
