The two partners will incorporate a joint venture to manage the Slovenian version of news portal www.vice.com, which is to be launched before the summer.

"A leading media content company for youths partnering with Planet TV brings contemporary practices and an approach that successfully targets in particular the younger public," Planet TV general manager Marijan Jurenec said in a press release circulated on Thursday.

Vice Media is best known for its portal www.vice.com, which mixes trendy content with examination of topics on the fringes of society and in-depth investigative journalism.

The foray into the Slovenian market is a part of a broader push into Eastern Europe in cooperation with the Greek media empire Antenna Group, the co-owner of Planet TV.
