The comedy "uses a multitude of associatively rich elements and details to enable the viewers to experience much more than the mere literary or musical basis offers," the award jury said.

Director Sandy Lopičić was declared the best director of the year for the play, with the jury saying that he "deals with the topic of ageing with an original and fresh way", intertwining elements of tragicomedy.

Mateja Pucko and Iztok Mlakar meanwhile won the award for best comedic actor, Pucko for her role in "Forever Young" and Mlakar for his role of the devil in Pašjon (Passion), the co-production of the SNG Nova Gorica and the Koper theatre.

The jury said that Pucko was inspiring with her character of rock and roll rebel and slightly mysterious lady, who is always keeping herself at a distance while at the same time being ready for action.

Mlakar on the other hand revives the "tradition of actors, comedians and comedy writers in one person". As the devil, he is never blasphemous or vulgar, but he serves as an auto-ironic critic of human weaknesses and mistakes, the jury said.
