The aim of this one-day fair is to provide information on cultural events taking place in Slovenia and further, stimulate interest in the arts and cultural education. Especially the experience of children and the youth with quality arts is crucial for their integrated development.

Bazar hosts almost 300 cultural institutions as well as numerous Slovenian artists. Besides, many lectures, workshops and panel discussions are held. Moreover, guided theatre performances, concerts, dance shows, film screening or exhibition tours can be attended.

Bazaar is organized jointly by Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport, the National Education Institute of the Republic Slovenia, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Slovenian National Commission for UNESCO, CMEPIUS as well as numerous Slovenian cultural institutions.
