Citizens are invited to publish a photo or a video on their Istagram profile with tag #LJambasador and say what Ljubljana means to them.

The municipality is also collecting applications at zate@ljubljana.si. until 20 April.

"Ljubljana is a city of the heart, inspiration and good people, who think and live green. We live together in harmony, co-creating the city's uniqueness and preserving its natural beauty with constant care for the environment," the municipality said about the campaign.

At the conclusion of the competition, a three-member jury will pick a dozen citizens who will take part in a professional photo shooting and become green ambassadors of Ljubljana along with composer Mojmir Sepe, theatre actress Ajda Smrekar and other well-known Slovenians.

They will also receive small gifts.
