Simobil is now able to offer all telecommunication services to its customers, Dejan Turk, the chairman of Simobil and Serbia's Vip mobil, said on the occasion as quoted in a press release from Simobil.

Telekom Austria unofficially paid EUR 30m to acquire the outright stake in the Maribor-based internet services provider in June. The acquisition was cleared by the competition watchdog in August.

Amis group had around 86,000 users of broadband internet and IP television and telephony in Slovenia and Croatia. It generated EUR 41m in revenue in 2014.

Combining Amis's and its own mobile telephony services, Simobil will now be able to offer to the market packages bringing together all key telecommunication services.

Boštjan Košak, executive manager of Simobil, who previously served as Amis director, commented that Simobil had always been an ambitious company, directed into development and continuous innovation.

Alejandro Plater, the executive director of Telekom Austria, said that the acquisition of Amis had already yielded results in the form of growth.

Telekom Austria is in majority ownership of the Mexican telecommunications giant America Movil.
