Odelo was praised for its development, production and bold plans.

The jury said Odelo had a high share of automatised and digitised production, which falls under the Industry 4.0 concept. It also focuses on process development and connecting Slovenian sub-suppliers in Germany.

According to the company's director Davorin Dobočnik, Odelo would continue investing in developing processes and production.

Odelo, founded in 2004 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of the German Odelo, generates the bulk of its sales in Germany, and its lights are used by carmakers, such as BMW, Audi, Mercedes Benz, Porsche and Volkswagen.

Apart from Odelo, Agito and Plastika Skaza were short-listed for the award.

The award was presented as part of the first day of Slovenian-German economy, focused on the digitisation of industry and other sectors of economy.
