Slovenia bags two medals at European Judo Championships
Trstenjak won gold after successfully beating her Austrian opponent Kathrin Unterwurzbacher. The 25-year-old's new title adds to her impressive medal collection, the most important being the gold she received last year at the World Judo Championships in Kazakhstan.
"I knew what I had to do and I did it. I knew my competitors well, but the final was the hardest. Of course, any combat can quickly change, so I had to give it my all at every competition," she said.
Drakšič won bronze by defeating his team colleague, Martin Hojak. After a fierce combat, Drakšič beat 18-year-old Hojak, winning his sixth medal.
His biggest wins so far include a gold medal from the 2013 European Championships in Budapest, and a bronze medal at the 2015 European Championships in Baku, Azerbaijan.
