Zidar Returns as Sole Owner SCT Holding

Zidar remains in the possession of 76% of SCT Holding, while the former management board members of SCT Aleksander Meze and Janez Jamnik sold their 12% shares to the company, which served as a leverage for the management buyout of SCT, which is in receivership since 15 June.

Daily Dnevnik reports that Meze and Jamnik's stakes were bought by SCT Holding itself. Through the company, Zidar controls the Murska Sobota-based manufacturer of construction machinery Tovarna kovinske opreme (TKO), which generates the bulk of its revenues from exports.

SCT Holding also owns 51% of SCT-Porr, a joint venture set up with an Austrian partner in February to bid for tenders for the construction of railways.

Meanwhile, Zidar failed to keep hold of the Germany-based company ISC Handelsgesselschaft, which had been used by SCT for decades for the purchase of materials and machinery.

Zidar transferred the company from SCT to SCT Holding last year, but the German business registry shows that ISC Handelsgesselschaft passed back into SCT's ownership in April this year, according to Dnevnik.

Business daily Finance reports that Zidar has been employed with SCT Holding since last week. The paper quotes unofficial sources who say that Zidar has agreed several construction jobs in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Serbia.
