Tulip show in full bloom
The most important feature of this year's show is its increased size. Organisers said a new planting technique allowed for larger fields to enchant visitors, assuring them they do not have to travel all the way to Holland, the land of tulips, to get the experience.
The show also boasts a range of 300 different tulip species. "They stand in front of visitors as if on a catwalk, letting them decide, which is the most beautiful," they wrote.
Since it was first put on, the show's size increased in size with its first milestone in 1994, when it counted a million tulips as part of the 400th anniversary of the tulip's arrival in Europe from Persia. The next year, it increased to two million tulips.
Alternatively, those into flowers can take an hour's drive east to the Mozirski Gaj park, where they can see flower beds of daffodils, hyacinths, pansies, daisies, and other flowers.
The tulip in VolĨji potok is being accompanied by a snake show and a cartoon character show for children.
