The event, labelled by the organisers a "celebration of running, recreation and life", will also feature a half-marathon, a 10-km run, a 5.5-km run and a 9-km Nordic walk challenge.

Non-competitive events at the marathon taking place in the region of Pomurje include a 4-hour hike and three running events for children (1,000 m, 600 m and 300 m).
