Metal festival kicks off in Tolmin

This year's festival programme will not feature big names to attract the wider mainstream audience, but is "intentionally more metal" and aimed at true metal fans, organiser Slobodan Milunović has said.

Some of the biggest names that will be performing next week are Testament of the US, Germany's Blind Guardian, Sweden's Dark Funeral and Delain of the Netherlands.

About 85% of the tickets were sold to foreigners from over 50 countries, most of them Germans and the French.

Milunović believes that Metaldays differs from other European metal festivals in that it offers fans a whole week of their favourite music in a unique idyllic setting in nature.
