It also sees great potential in the production of kayaks, canoes and boats in a new location.

The group consisting of 13 companies in Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia and Macedonia plans to generate EUR 22.2m in revenue in 2016 and says that it has achieved the plan set for the first half of the year.

The core company alone generated EUR 16.2m in sales revenues and posted a EUR 912,000 net profit last year.

Chairman Štefan Pavlinjek has told the STA that the biggest growth in sales is being recorded in fuel tanks for industry, including for agricultural machinery, combine harvesters and motorcycles.

The plant in Puconci, purchased from the bankrupt boat maker Seaway for EUR 3.42m last year, is already producing large water tanks and a new generation of waste water treatment plants, which will be patented.

Kayaks and canoes are also being produced at the location, and Roto is also developing new technologies and products to match the increasing demand from Europe and the US, said Pavlinjek.

The company is boosting its cooperation with the British company Laser Sailing, for which it produces and assembles five sailboat models.

Roto also produces waste water treatment plants which can serve between 500 and 5,000 people, and which sell well in Africa, Slovakia, Bulgaria and France.

According to Pavlinjek, demand for large water tanks increased significantly this year, including from hospitals, military and prisons. The company can supply up to 50 tanks with the capacity of 50 thousand cubic metres each.

The Roto group generates around 75% of its revenue on foreign markets.
