David Kastelic, currently the boss of insurer Zavarovalnica Triglav, Alexander Bayr, the former boss of Bawag bank in Slovenia, David Eric Simon, a British banker, and Matjaž Titan, a management consultant, will be named supervisors.

The move comes three and a half months after three supervisors stepped down citing "discreditation". Several media reports suggest they would have failed to secure European Central Bank clearance.

Three new members were expected to be appointed. It remains unclear why a fourth nominee has now been put forward or which of the existing members would be axed.

SSH also plans to confirm a dividend payout of EUR 44m, just over a third of the bank's distributable profit.
