Ljubljana tourist information centres have noticed an increased demand for bicycle rental as well as for the Ljubljana Botanical Gardens and Tivoli Park.

Tourists that visit the information centres most often come from Belgium, France, Spain and the Netherlands. The French and Spanish visitors are regular summer visitors by now, Turizem Ljubljana said.

Data from the Statistics Office shows that the biggest number of foreign visitors in Ljubljana in the January-to-May period comes from Italy, Germany, Serbia, the UK, Croatia, and the US.

Tourists that stay in Ljubljana overnight are mostly from Italy, Germany, the UK, the US, Serbia, Austria, Asian countries, and Croatia, added Turizem Ljubljana.

Ljubljana is becoming an increasingly attractive tourist destination. After recording more than a million overnight stays for the first time in 2014, Slovenia's capital had more than 1.2 million overnight stays in 2015.
