Defence Ministry selling 30 tanks and 39 IFVs
The ministry is selling the tanks and IFVs together with spare parts, ammunition and other equipment.
Interested buyers will go through a security check and before submitting their bids they will need to make a EUR 500,000 down payment for the tanks and EUR 300,000 for the IFVs.
Both sets of vehicles can be purchased only as whole packages, with buyers being required to meet legislative requirements from their countries regarding dealing with and/or production of military equipment.
The ministry said that it would collect bids until 23 November, adding that the main criteria for the selection would be the offered price.
The ministry expects the sale to take a while because it needs to obtain and verify all necessary documentation and certificates from potential buyers.
Permissions for sale will also need to be obtained from the producers of certain systems installed in the M-55S tanks.
The ministry intends to use the money from the sale for purchasing new armament.
