The companies employing around 600 people last year generated EUR 196m in revenue and made a EUR 30m profit.

The larger of the two companies, Henkel Maribor, a production company headed by Rolf Müller Grünow, generated EUR 188m in revenue and almost EUR 39m in net profit in 2014.

The company's business model was changed in July 2015, which has since only produced cosmetics, while a new company was established in Amsterdam to manage the operations and inventories of material.

In line with the new model, Henkel Maribor is a contractual producer for the new company, and it does not purchase material and sell finished products. Revenues and costs have decreased accordingly, the company said.

Henkel Slovenija, which primarily deals with sales within the Henkel conglomerate in Slovenia, Macedonia, Kosovo, Montenegro and Albania, meanwhile generated last year EUR 69m in revenue and posted a EUR 3.8m profit.

Revenue was down by 2.5% compared to 2014 while profit was halved. Sales on the Slovenian market stood at EUR 30m last year, which is level compared to the year before.

The company plans to boost sales by almost 8% this year, with the biggest growth in sales expected in South America, Africa and the Middle East.
