The visit is organised by the the SPIRIT public agency for entrepreneurship, internationalization, foreign investments and technology and the Vienna branch of the Japanese External Trade Organisation JETRO and the Japanese embassy in Ljubljana.
The SPIRIT agency signed in 2013 an agreement on cooperation with the partner agency JETRO in a bid to deepen and expand economic cooperation between Slovenia and Japan.
In 2014, a delegation representing 15 Japanese companies from banking, energy sector, mechanical engineering, electronics, construction, car industry and commerce visited Slovenia. This year's visit is a continuation of these efforts, according to SPIRIT.
