The net employment outlook after seasonal adjustment stands at 11%, which is the highest in the last six years.

A growth in employment opportunities is expected in nine of ten industrial branches and in all Slovenian regions.

According to the survey, 14% of the 620 employers participating in the survey plan to hire additional workers, 6% expect a reduction in workforce and 77% expect no changes in the October-December period.

Compared to the previous quarter and the last quarter of 2015, the net employment outlook improved by 5 percentage points.

In four industrial branches employers expect the best employment opportunities since the survey was fist conducted six years ago.

These are manufacturing (+21%), construction (+18%), public administration and social services (+10%) and hospitality and hotel industry (+8%).

Good employment opportunities are also expected in transport, logistics and communication as well as wholesale and retail, where employers report net employment outlook of +14%.

On the other hand, employers in agriculture, forestry and fisheries do not plan additional hiring in the last three months of the year.

Manpower Slovenia executive director Rudi Čebulj noted that more than seven out of ten employers in Slovenia expected their employment structure not to change, which meant that the Slovenian labour market would be stable.

"We are witnessing record outlooks since the survey was launched in 2011...which is an excellent sign of a revival, confidence and improvement of the Slovenian labour market," he said in a press release.
