Ales Holc, Peter Juvan and Igor Kremser made the ascent of the peak in the Chinese province of Xinjiang between 27 and 31 July, taking the northwestern path.

The trio will also try to become the first expedition to climb the main peak of the Xuelian mountain system, the Xuelian Feng (6627 m), from the northern side, and make a second climb ever to the peak.

Holc, the head of the group, who has been climbing mountains for 18 years, has a record of 500 high-profile ascents, followed by Kremser with 300 and Juvan with 250.
