Vlado Kreslin, Mali bogovi and Beltinška banda

Guest star: Mary Coughlan with the band, Ireland

Thematically, Drevored is distinctively introspective and immersed in the difficult present and the nostalgic past, while musically it is exquisitely 'Kreslinian': traditional, imbued with the depressing aura of Prekmurje, masterfully performed and produced. The sound of electric guitars and the Hammond organ interweaves with cimbaloms, balalaikas, the violin and the accordion, while the truly great Vlado is not afraid to raise his voice and sing Podmoskovnye Vechera (Moscow Nights). Irrespective of how much our Slavic soul is concealed and overlooked in today's Europeanised Slovenia (and also Croatia) - or perhaps precisely due to this fact.
